A ssuming that you have found a domain name that is available, you can now start the registration process. This is a simple and straightforward process. Just fill out the form with the information that is requested. Note: you will be asked if you want to add Bluehost domain privacy (for free). I normally opt in for this to avoid unsolicited contact by people who are trying to market something to me. If you do not select this option, your information will be available on the web site whois.com.Domain Privacy OptionMarketers (including the shady ones) will obtain your information from whois.com and contact you. Thus, I always recommend a domain privacy option. This way the only information people can see on whois.com is Bluehosts. See screenshot below. For more information, click on the "Add BlueHost Domain Privacy FREE" link on BlueHost's site while registering. |
