S omething that has become very clear to me as I study Internet marketing is that blogs are becoming the backbone of many effective online marketing campaigns. Apparently, a lot of marketers are successfully utilizing blogs to increase their website traffic and ultimately product & service revenue. I am constantly reading how blogs have an advantage over many other methods of online communication. It wasn't that long ago that I did not fully understand blogging and the many benefits derived from it. Thus, I began to dig into the world of blogging. This article is about my recommendation of a blogging book that I have read and believe that it can be very helpful to you as well. ProBlogger: Secrets for Blogging Your Way to a Six-Figure Income This was actually the first book I read on blogging. It was written by Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett. I remembered Darren from his website www.ProBlogger.net which I spent much time on learning about blogging as a part of Internet marketing. I found this book to be extremely helpful in bringing me up to speed quickly. Don't let the title fool you though- it's not about getting rich quickly off of blogging. This point is made clear early on in the book. You will learn that there is a lot of hard work and dedication required to make money with blogging. A nice benefit of many of the blogging topics within this book is that they relate to general website development and Internet marketing as well. For instance, it provides guidance on how to establish your own domain and how to write good page copy as a part of effective website optimization. Furthermore, it shows you how to monetize your site through various methods. All of which will work on a non-blog type of website as well. So even if you don't decide to blog, it's still well worth the read for good website development and Internet marketing tips. What's in the Book
Here's a peek at the topics from the book's table of contents: |
